Update on Life! A New Porch!

It's has been such a long time since I've been able to write. I am one year old now! August 30, 2014, was my birthday. I will post some pictures later of my Big Day. And earlier in the spring, I made it through a not-so-fun operation. I had to wear the cone of shame and everything.

But most importantly, I was the official foreman and inspector of the new porch we had built this spring and summer! I made a picture book about our porch adventures. Take a peek at The Story of Our Porch, written by me. It was so much fun, even if Mom got a little panicky at times.

What can we build now?

Update — Ruh roh! Shutterfly removed this plug in! Don't worry... Mom will post some photos of the porch construction soon!

What's that? Oh, It's Just My Tail

Mom is working on her laptop on the couch. Charley the Cat is sleeping in the pillows on the bed. It's pouring down rain outside. Mom and I got a quick walk in this morning before the rains came. But right now, I'm a little bored. It's not quite time for lunch. I can't go out and play. I've already dumped out all my toys and knocked the ball all around the house and fetched the squeaky toys and squeaked them loudly. I've chewed my chew toys and my antler. Not much else to do on this boring rainy day....so I guess I'll just chase my tail!

Just Checkin' In!

Everybody's been working so hard. Mom had the bike repairman come over the other day, and I helped. That was hard work! And then more snow. Mom grumbled a bit about that. But it wasn't very much. Sometimes it's easy to forget the simple things in life. Like good food (yum!), lots of fun things to do (like going for walks and playing in the yard and going to Gran'mom's!), and cuddling on the couch with Mom (and sometimes Charley if she doesn't wake up and hiss at me!). I hope you are all having a good day wherever you are! And if you need me to jump up and give you sloppy puppy kisses, I am more than happy to!

C'mon. Closer….closer….

SLURP!

There. Don't you feel better?

Playing at Gran'mom's Yesterday

Here are pictures Mom took of me playing at Gran'mom's yesterday. Shhh...don't tell Millie that I was making out with Maggie, the gal next door. It was just a fling! And Abbot, the little guy in the yard behind Gran'mom's, we've become pals, too.

What a Long Winter

It has been a little while! Mom has been hogging the computer almost all the time, writing a book and doing work. But I am so excited about my day yesterday, I had to share it with you! After more than two months, I got to play with Millie again! It has been a long winter. Even though I love the snow, the bad weather has kept Millie and me apart. Yesterday we went to Gran'mom's and Pa's and it was love at first sight! We played all afternoon. Mom will download the photos from her camera later and post them maybe tomorrow (during the snowstorm we are supposed to get).

And guess what? I am now bigger than Millie! She used to tower over me when I was little. But now I am growing up! And I tower over her!

Mom keeps saying there are just 19 days til spring, and she can't wait. I kind of agree. I'd like to see the birds and the flowers that she keeps talking about.

Charley the Cat and I are getting along better, too. She hacked up a hairball the other night. I helped Mom clean it up (I ate it), and then I licked Charely on the head, and she let me! Of course, she still slaps me in the nose with her sharp claws every now and then. But she's warming up to me. Down deep, I know she loves me!

Here's our latest movie from yesterday! Fun!

Another Snow Day!

Yesterday was an awesome day! When I woke up, there was snow all over the ground again! I played outside for a little bit, but because Mom said it was too cold, I couldn't stay outside for long periods of time. Right now, it is 12 degrees out. Brrrrr! My hair stands up on end just thinking about it! I hope all puppies have Moms and/or Dads who bring them inside when it gets so bitterly cold out so they can warm their paws. But I love the snow! I could play in the snow forever!
